INVISIBLE WORLDS is an evening of original performances created by 25 young people aged 7–13.
Across Terms 1 and 2, the UNDERARTS ensembles have been inventing characters, building strange worlds, devising scenes, creating movement, experimenting with sound and developing original performance material together.
Now, those ideas come to life on stage at the iconic Brunswick Ballroom.
Part performance event, part end-of-term celebration, INVISIBLE WORLDS brings together families, friends and curious audiences for a night of strange characters, big ideas, music, movement, puppetry and imagination.

The Rainforest Tree
Created by the 7–10 year-old ensembleInside a rainforest tree, invisible worlds are alive: elemental realms, hidden creatures, secret forces and strange connections. But when developers threaten to replace the forest with a mega-mall, the worlds inside the tree must find a way to respond.
The Earbud
Created by the 11–13 year-old ensembleInside a wireless earbud, music genres live as avatars under the control of the Algorithm. But when genres start disappearing, glitching and fighting for popularity, the whole system begins to unravel.

UNDERARTS is a Brunswick-based performance-making program for young people.
We support young people to create original contemporary performance through play, collaboration and creative risk-taking. Participants devise their own characters, worlds, scenes and ideas with support from professional artists and facilitators.
Our workshops are for young people who want to perform, imagine, make, question, collaborate and be part of a creative ensemble.
