Workshops and classes where young people can create, discover and connect through performance and theatre making.

Our programmes and activities

  • Weekly theatre making classes for young people. Groups run according to age: kids (8-12) and teens (13-18).

    Supported and facilitated by professional artists, young people will devise original performance works that reflect their experiences, ideas and concerns.

    These works will be showcased at the UNDERARTS Festival in December 2025.

  • New ideas, new worlds, new modes of expression - make the impossible possible.

    Join us for a fun and inspiring one day workshop which encourages young people to create, discover and connect.

    Facilitated by professional artists, 12-16 year olds will collaborate while making new friendships.

  • Whether it be theatre making, acting workshops, world-building exercises, improvisational activities, dramaturgy or playwriting, we are skilled teachers and artists with a vast wealth of knowledge and techniques in the performing arts.

    We will customise our workshops based on consultations with your school to compliment the school curriculum and desired learning outcomes.

    We are able to come to schools located in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

  • UNDERARTS offers free workshops for young people who are interested in performance making, storytelling and theatre. These workshops are a pressure free, fun introduction to UNDERARTS and the world of performance making, facilitated by professional artists in a supportive and encouraging environment.
